R&B Singer Toni Braxton Was Afraid of “God’s Payback” for Her Abortion

Sadly, there are so many stories of celebrities admitting they’ve had an abortion, and talking about how much heartache it caused. These stories are sad, but important to let people know how devastating abortion really is! I’m going to do a series of blog posts about some of those stories, hoping we can all learn from their mistakes and pray that God would heal their heartache… and that people will quit seeing abortion as the way to handle an unwanted pregnancy.

The pro-choice crowd is determined to convince everyone that abortion is simple and painless, just a medical procedure without any negative side effects. They deny that it causes any physical, mental, emotional, relational, or spiritual problems – when there are stories ALL OVER that tell us the exact opposite.

They’re so sold out to their ideology that they’re spreading a downright lie. And it hurts more women and unborn babies every single day.

R&B singer Toni Braxton wrote about the great guilt she felt after having an abortion in her memoir called Unbreak My Heart. Before she and Keri Lewis were married, she found out she was pregnant with his child. She was taking a medication that could affect her baby, but says she decided to abort more for convenience.

That was almost fifteen years ago, and she still feels guilty. She was brought up in a strict Christian home, so she knew what she’d done was wrong.

She was even afraid the hardships she faced later in life, like her son’s autism, were “God’s payback” for her abortion. That breaks my heart. I pray she learns about God’s forgiveness instead, because He’s the only one who can really “un-break” her heart.
