Another thought about Hiroshima

And President Obama’s speech.  The always interesting TMLutas weighs in and reminds us about the political backdrop of Japan in 1945, and what we know of its tendency to off any statesmen who might have wanted to talk peace.  There are other cultures out there that do the same, by the way.  I think it’s TM’s point that President Obama missed a chance to make the disasters of 1945 more relevant to today.
