I was down visting my Mom in the metro Detroit area and we hit this amazing garage sale. I picked up a bag full of vintage scarves that look to be from the 40’s right through the 70’s. Plus I picked up some great vintage jewelry, both the bracelet and the necklace. I’m pondering removing one of the strands of beads from the necklace to fashion matching earrings from, but I’ve never done anything like that so I’m kind of intimidated. Maybe after Christmas, right now I need to focus on presents and items for the Etsy store.
I’m debating on what to do with the scarves too. I like to wear them, but I’m getting so many that I’ve been thinking of other uses. I’d like to use them in a blouse somehow, or maybe to line a purse. I’ve seen a lot of tutorials for handkerchief skirts, but I don’t wear skirts very often anymore, I’m kind of a jeans and cords girl these days. Got any ideas for my awesome scarf collection, anyone?
