I paint therefore I am.

It’s been ages since I posted regularly. We’ve all been taking turns with various forms of flu and it’s been enough to just keep us all fed and the house somewhat clean. Now it seems we have at least a temporary break in the clouds, so I thought I’d share a little of what I’ve been up to. The top one is a new painting called Offering. It’s not done, that’s just the first layer laid down. I need to add some cut paper bits and some washes of color to moderate that blazing white. The next pic is of me printing cards for a friend who ordered christmas cards from me. It took me about 8 cards to get the hang of it and get a nice clear print every time. I don’t think that’s too bad for a first try. The last one is a painting I’ve been working on for a while. I need to add a few more layers and then I need my model to sit again. I’ve done some reference sketches, but I’m going to need to think about light more. Anyway, I’ll try and post a little more regularly from now on, assuming no one starts upchucking again!
