Handmade Gift Giving

Handmade Gift Giving January 5, 2010

Now that the cat’s out of the bag and all my gifts are given away, I wanted to share some of what I made for my loved ones this holiday season. I love making hand made gifts, but I always start too late and end up making a bunch of them in January and February. Luckily, I have good friends that put up with me 🙂 So the booties are for my friends second child, Jasmine. I loved making them out of locally spun cotton with vintage buttons! It was so exciting to get to use some of my stash.

Okay, so the second picture was actually for me, but it goes with the aprons I made for my girls. I only have a picture of the toddlers, since my kindergardener has already absconded with hers. They were a big hit though. I’d love to get a picture of all three of us in our aprons cooking. They were so easy too! I just bought a fat quarter for each girl (sneakily letting them pick early in the fall) and then cut out the bib and used double fold bias tape for the ties.

I also made some really nice crochet towels for my MIL, but I forgot to take pics of those. I’m planning on making some more yet, so when I get them done I’ll remember to snap some photos!
