Postcards, postcards, everywhere!

Postcards, postcards, everywhere! January 29, 2010

I’ve been collecting postcards for a while now, so I was excited when I found a venue to share them! Over at The French Factrice she hosts Postcard Friendship Friday! So here I am, and here’s my first postcard. I love the colors on this one and the smiles on their faces.

Here’s the backside of the postcard. I love the cancelled stamps. The message is mostly about how cold our sender is while she’s visiting Montreux Switzerland. It’s dated May 9, 1928, which explains the cute haircut on the woman on the left. According to Grace (our intrepid adventurer) everyone did their laundry in the rivers and lakes where she had visited. In Italy, apparently they didn’t even have washboards! So I ask you, as Grace asked Mrs. John C Filton: how would you like to do your washing this way?
