I am just falling in love with this new online magazine I found, Rhythm of the Home. It’s packed full of wonderful delights like summer solstice celebrations, making fairy looms (I’ve got to try that one) and I just read this article on children with choleric temperaments that really made me think of my oldest daughter. It’s beautiful and inspirational and I’ll just say it takes a lot to make me gush like this.
I’m also thrilled because I’ve been having a really blissful wonderful summer day. I made a gluten-free chocolate cake with almond crumble for lunch and discovered that the cherry tree in our backyard has a bumper crop of them this year and I just picked two quarts of ripe ones, with tons more to ripen yet! We’ve played swords and chase and badminton, made crazy train tracks with the new to us train pieces I picked up for ten dollars yesterday, I sewed and gardened and baked and I have been feeling a calm inside me. Everything is beautiful today, even the weeds.
