Fairy Houses

Fairy Houses August 1, 2010

Last week my girls and I were visiting my husband’s family in Port Huron and we discovered something wonderful.

Something magical.
We found fairies! And then we built them houses.

Fairies need houses made of bark, with brooms and food
and little beds made of white pine needles.
There was much delight and giggles and hard work involved in our houses.
We know the fairies appreciated it.

What food might a fairy eat you wonder? Well, fallen apples and flowers of course! As you can see, even a toad stopped by and partook of our hospitality. Fairy houses have become all the rage around here, popping up all over my garden beds now that we’re home again. Quite satisfactory if you ask me. 🙂
