Firebird for CED

For the last week of August I wanted to share a sketch I did of a firebird. It’s that liminal time before fall starts, but all of the plants look so tired. They all have a bit of a grey brown tinge, everyone is waiting for the cool fall breezes to come. It reminds me of the phoenix regenerating from the ashes. I imagined my firebird getting ready her nest for herself, so that she would have a safe spot when she hatched. I’m certainly ready for fall to hatch.
