Thrifty Art Thursday

So I’m totally planning on doing this great tutorial on how to make a kid’s apron out of a fat quarter and a package of bias tape. But then I was feeling bad yesterday and today I’m taking my girls out to their Ooma’s house to decorate her tree and eat Christmas cookies.

I’ll get there. I’m trying to balance a no pressure attitude toward the blog along with continuing to produce useful stuff. Today, no pressure wins.

So here’s a couple of things that caught my eye today:

My felted sweater bag tutorial has been going around and this Italian blog linked to it! They show some great ideas for felted stuff. I’m totally inspired by the wreaths. I love the bright colors.

My other favorite thing I discovered today was this awesome alternative Christmas tree:

I found it on this cute little blog about all things vintage Into Vintage. I’m really loving this fun bright christmas idea, breaking out of the red and green into hot pink and blue. It makes me want to redecorate!
