Shrine: almost finished

It’s almost finished now, and I’m really happy with how it’s turning out. Using the string and beeswax as a way to hold everything in place felt really good, very organic. I still need to finish the top and create a way to hang it. It’s exciting to me how much of this is made of the cast-offs, and junk. I love the way things with age have a patina. Sure I could get new stuff and fake it, but I think there’s an energy and a truth that really shines through when you use truly old things.
