Tim Conder
I am the founding pastor of Emmaus Way (Durham, NC). I’m also a PhD candidate at the University of North Carolina in Cultural Studies and serve as a trustee at the Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. My research is on identity and social movements. In Durham, I work in grass roots political/community organizing serving on the Strategy Team and Clergy Caucus of Durham CAN (Congregations, Associations, and Neighborhoods).  I am the author of several books (including The Church in Transition & Free for All) and numerous book contributions. My most recent academic publication was “In God’s Country: Employing Detournement to Expose the Enmeshment of Christianity within the Spectacle of Capitalism”.
