Catholicism by Robert Barron

Catholicism by Robert Barron September 22, 2011

Last night I watched the first two episodes of Catholicism, a recently completed 10-part series on Catholicism.  The cinematography is breathtaking.  Father Robert Barron’s presentation is clear and his arguments interesting.  The narration becomes slow at certain points, but one remains thoroughly engaged by the stunning video.  I found myself so drawn by the visual art of the series at some points that I unconsciously stopped listening to the narration and had to rewind the video!

The first episode presents the radical nature of Jesus Christ.  The second episode centers on the teachings of Jesus.

The series was produced with the intention of it being aired on public television.  The website Catholicism Series has the following chart with preliminary air times for Georgia.  From my reading of the chart, almost all GBP stations will air it the Thursdays of October at 7pm except WPBA in Atlanta.  Only episodes 1, 3, 4 and 5 will be aired.
