Review: Tarot Tracker – A Year Long Journey

It’s unusual for me to review a journal, but Tarot Tracker: A Year-Long Journey by Angelo Nasios is one of the most beautiful and well thought out tarot journals I’ve come across. This hardcover book with shiny gold and silver detail on the cover and built in ribbon marker bookmark, makes this journal feel like a keepsake time capsule instead of a hastily printed softcover journal that will be easily damaged. He includes a brief section with tarot keywords and then a space where you can record keywords of what each card in the tarot means to you at the beginning of the book. At the end of the book this section reappears to see how your meanings have changed over the course of a year. Also provided is a page to calculate and record what your major tarot theme card is. There’s also a Seasonal Tracker to perform a reading and answer questions regarding the upcoming year, New Years Resolutions, and Birthday Readings. I can’t think of a better companion for the New Year than this journal.

Tarot Tracker: A Year-Long Journey is a great journal not only for self-reflection and to strengthen your tarot readings, but Angelo writes that “Non-Tarot decks, such as Lenormand, Kipper, and other oracle decks could substitute readings in the Daily Tracker and/or the Seasonal Tracker sections of this book.” There is a page for every day of the year to record a day reading and a night reading. You can check off bubbles from a list to remember what the focus was on. These include: The Card of the Day, What can I learn Today?, I May Want To Do This, What Should I Focus On?, How Can I Serve Others Best?, I May Want To Avoid This, Reflection On Today’s Events, What Lessons Did I Learn?, How Did I Properly Use My Energy?, How Did I Shine Today?, How Did I Poorly Use My Energy?, and What Should I Release From Today?
