Ladies and gentlemen, my just-turned-4-year-old assistant (a self-confessed princess) is holding what looks to be an ordinary box of cereal.

Right?

Wrong.

That, my friends, is a “Visitor’s Kit” from a li’l ol’ church in Texas.

Slick, huh?

The “nutrition facts” on the side of the box lists various forms of prayer (servings per day – infinite) and the Gifts of the Spirit. The Gifts are each yielding 100% under Faith … and with an added 1/2 hour of prayer = 150%.

The ingredients listed are:

God

Oversight

Direction

Cute, huh? (I kid you not.)

On the back of the box there are pictures of young and old, black and white … all smiling. (Well, there is one shot in the middle where two men embrace and they’ve yet to reach the smiling stage.)

The top of the cereal box reads:

Thank you for worshipping with us. We are so glad that you were here.

What’s inside the box?

SO … brothers and sisters, I was wondering what we Orthodox might include in our visitor-pack-cereal-box.

Think about it.

Take your time.

Ready?

Okay …

(You don’t have to be serious.)

Go!
