Even though investigations “into Planned Parenthood’s alleged sale of fetal tissue” continue to disappoint many anti-abortionists, it doesn’t take a hardline conservative to at least consider the “tone” in which the conversations captured by scandalous video recordings as “terribly wrong” – those are the words Sen. Bernie Sanders. Those videos led to numerous, unsuccessful attempts to #defundpp (defund planned parenthood).

Trump has been caught saying many terrible things – but so far he hasn’t been found guilty of breaking a particular law.

Yet, many conservatives, especially Catholics – sadly -, continue to support the ridiculous excuse for a presidential nominee – as if Hillary Clinton wasn’t ridiculous enough for one election season.

Planned Parenthood, whether making a profit, or working within the confines of the law, plainly appear to be in the business of commodifying human life – there should be no doubt. After all, it is the ‘American way’.

Planned Parenthood commodifies, degrades, negates, violates, and alienates human life: this is intrinsically evil.

Switch out “Planned Parenthood” for “Donald Trump”…

Donald Trump commodifies, degrades, negates, violates, and alienates human life: this is intrinsically evil.

This isn’t a matter of policy or legality – this is a matter of life.

“Whatever is hostile to life itself… whatever violates the integrity of the human person… whatever is offensive to human dignity…: all these and the like are a disgrace, and so long as they infect human civilization they contaminate those who inflict them more than those who suffer injustice, and they are a negation of the honour due to the Creator” (from Gaudium et Spes, 27, quoted in John Paul II’s Veritatis Splendor).

While there is much to be said about Trump’s employment and business practices, as well as his campaign rhetoric, all we need to do, here, is recall 24 hours worth of news:
  1. #TrumpTape;
  2. Donald Trump, Groper in Chief“;
  3. Donald Trump to Howard Stern: It’s okay to call my daughter a ‘piece of ass’” and other ridiculous disgraceful attacks on human dignity.

Shame on those who would come to Mr. Trump’s aid without publicly and forcefully distancing themselves from such horrendous violations after condemning them – think of some on Trump’s Catholic Roundtable: such people should not be considered as speaking with any authority and should carefully examine the integrity of identifying themselves as “Catholic” in such matters. This is unfaithful citizenship.

Subjugating women isn’t a prudential judgment.

Until next time,
