Welcome to R3: Tony Peterson January 4, 2013

Tony is an Army brat who calls Hawaii home. In high school he counted Barack Obama amongst his younger friends. He has lived in Nashville, Tennessee, for twenty-five years, where he writes, edits and serves as an educator. His training and experience are in editing, psychology (BA), youth ministry, and Christian education (MA), having served in Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, non-denominational, and multi-denominational churches in Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and Tennessee.


For 19 years he worked for national agencies of the United Methodist Church, where he served as an editor, trainer, and project manager. Much of his work involved diversity training, African American spirituality and the writing of Africana liturgy. He is currently an educator at Trevecca Nazarene University, an editor for Middle Tennessee Health Magazine, and Nashville’s Church and Society Examiner.
