Welcome to R3: Cedrick Von Jackson September 4, 2013
Cedrick Von Jackson serves as Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary BaptistChurch, Sardis, MS. Prior to being called to Mt. Zion, he served as Minister of Music/Associate Minister at his childhood church, Second Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS.  He is a Phi Kappa Phi honor graduate from the University of Mississippi, where he earned both a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and a M.A. degree in Educational Leadership.  He has almost 20 years’ experience as an educator. He completed M.Div. studies at Memphis TheologicalSeminary in 2010, where he was a Summa Cum Laude graduate and Chalice Press Award recipient.
Cedrick has published work in The African American Pulpit.  His sermon, An Unscattering of the Sheep, appeared in the Spring 2007 edition of TAAP.  Jackson has also contributed work to the “Sermon Illustrations” section of The African American Lectionarywebsite.  Most recently, he has published a collection of poems and short stories entitled Following the Breadcrumb Path: Navigating the Journey Toward God, Justice, and Love.
Cedrick has been married to his college sweetheart, the former Eulanda Willis of Meridian, MS, for over nineteen years.  They live in Olive Branch, MS with their two children Jalise and Myles, and their dog, Nubia.
